I will be analysing a BBC news reel of a u.n worker who was saved from the ruins of a u.n building in haitai this is the link to the news story. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/8464649.stm
during the news reel there is no voice over or reporter as all the sound is diagetic. there is the bbc logo in the top left corner of the screen. the camera work in the video is hand held shot focusing in on the suvivour being carried to safety by the paramedics. a varity of shots has been used such as long shots, mid shot and hand held motions. the film in question uses no graphical effects such as frame transitions just cuts and there are also no uses of techniuqes such as split screen uses.
the representations of this reel is generally a view of unifying nations all helping for the relif of the haitai earthquake. i think that the suited audience for this real would be concerd people or people concerd with foreign incidents and familys of those staying in haitai.
the BBC show critical concern as an institution and cover the story with factual authentic events.
